How to prepare for an AI data evaluation assessment

Many AI data evaluation jobs start with a short online test. Platforms differ, so read each set of instructions carefully, but the skills they check are similar.
What the work usually involves
- Reading a question and one or more AI answers
- Judging whether each answer is correct, clear, helpful and safe
- Following detailed written guidelines exactly
- Sometimes writing a short reason for your rating
How to prepare
- Read the guidelines twice, and keep them open while you work.
- Check facts instead of trusting an answer that sounds confident.
- Be consistent. Apply the same standard to every answer.
- Keep reasons short and specific. Point to the exact mistake or strength.
- Practise attention to detail by proofreading texts and spotting errors.
On the day
- Choose a quiet place and a time with stable power and internet.
- Watch the time limit and don't spend too long on one item.
- Do the test yourself and follow the rules about outside help.
